This year I was a bit in a WoT mood due to the marathon before and the good events in the previous year but next christmas ? Postmortem: Will I do it again next year ? I honestly don't know. Let me say it again: Eff you see kay your marketing jerks. Now I purchased twice the boxes and even then it took me twice as long ? Fuck you and the marketing horse you rode in on that suggested to make it that way to increase "player engagement". Shards and decorations were so sparse that WG had to pump in additional "rewards" repeatedly in order not to piss off loot box buyers like me who - despite buying 150 boxes and collecting every single packet every day (including the friend list packets) didn't achieve 50% credit bonus before new year's eve.Ĭredit booster - let me double down on this: WTF Wargaming ?! I used to be able to buy 75 big boxes and get festivity 10 right away, and achieve 50% credit booster within 2 weeks or so. I believe it was worse due to how long it took to accumulate the 50% credit booster (and let's not dick around, this is what most people are aiming for since it's the only "time critical" part of all the rewards). so either my tolerance was higher last year or this year it was worse. Highly subjective, but this year was the first time I actually took notice of what I received. The amount of decorations/shards you received from large boxes was just plain bad, probably due to them changing the decorations from 5 tiers (and at least one guaranteed top tier in every large box) to a single tier. then again it might not, since WG might have tweaked things to "compensate" for the guaranteed T8s after 50 boxes. Overall I had the feeling the value was lower than last year but that might have been due to personal RNG. I did have the feeling that I received a lot of "minimum" boxes, saving grace was a fair number of low tier tank doubles. Edit: For clarification I did receve 3 T8s within the first 150 boxes, just not all 3 new ones, one was a double so I gave it another shot sitting at 47 after 150 boxes). I got the 3 new t8 tanks only thanks to the bad luck prevention (with the last one sitting at 47 after 150 boxes, wich is why I purchased another 11. Loot boxes - bought 161 and didn't get all new 3D styles. Step One : Identify and Encourage The Leader.Pruning Young Maple Trees Between 3 and 10 Years Old.Trimming Maple Trees in Fall and Winter.Pruning Maple Trees in Spring or Summer. It is far preferable to prevent detrimental growth trends and avert potential health problems during the formative years, than to try and correct them later on.Īnother incentive for ensuring the correct pruning early on is that Maple trees can grow up to 150 feet tall, so rather get it as right as you can while you can still reach the top yourself, to save paying an arborist for a tree service later! Getting your Maple tree off to a good start, with the correct pruning in the early years, sets up the health and shape of the tree for the rest of its life. One of the most important and effective ways of ensuring a handsome & healthy maple tree is to start pruning it when it is a relatively young tree (but not too young!) so that it can develop a sturdy, single, principal trunk column supporting strong, nicely-spaced branches. Trimming maple trees is beneficial at all stages in the life of a tree, so long as you do it in the correct way at the correct time. Otherwise, decay-producing fungi can infect healthy parts of the trees.Your naturally beautiful Maple tree, with leaves that turn vibrant colors in the fall, will definitely reward you for everything that you invest in it, in terms of care & attention, through all phases of its life. When you are pruning maple trees, it is always a good idea to remove broken, diseased, or dead branches. It can also open up the center of the tree to let sun and air move through the canopy. Carefully removing branches can reduce or eliminate structural issues in a tree. Pruning also assists the tree develop of a sound branch structure. Regular maple tree pruning helps keep a tree the desired size and stops a tree from encroaching on its neighbors. Gardeners trim maple trees for a variety of reasons. For this reason, many gardeners say that the best time for pruning maples is in summer after the tree is fully in leaf. Once the leaf buds open, the sap is no longer under pressure and won’t leak out from pruning wounds. You can avoid this issue if you wait until summer to prune maples. If the tree is just a sapling, however, loss of sap may cause problems. You would have to remove an entire limb for the loss of sap to negatively impact a fully grown tree. However, maple tree pruning in winter generally won’t hurt a mature tree. This makes it look as if the tree is suffering. In late winter, when the days are warm and the nights are cold, root pressure causes sap to flow from any wound made in the bark of the tree. Many gardeners are confused about when to prune a maple tree. It’s important to learn how to prune maple trees and to pick the best time for pruning maples. However, maple tree pruning is an essential part of maple tree maintenance. The species’ tendency to lose sap from wounds makes gardeners question the wisdom of pruning maple trees. Maple trees are known for their brilliant fall color as well as the ease with which they “bleed” sap. The tree in the backyard that blazes with red, orange, and yellow foliage in autumn is most likely a maple. They've done good job of making it look and feel like a classic amp here but there's only so much you can control this way. You can recall 4 patches via buttons next to a tap tempo button and these can also double as tuner lights which is pretty handy. There's an amp style selector and the usual amp controls (gain, 3 band eq and master) plus single knobs for levels of Mod, Delay, Reverb and Output (the real master volume). The controls look pretty well organised on the top of the amp with about as many knobs as you could fit (10). The control knobs on the Spark 40 amp itself. It's hard to keep remembering that this is a sub-$300 product and not want more though and it's not without flaws. What I discovered was an amp that delivers so much for such an inexpensive compact unit and it does feel like seeing the future at least - freed from shackles of clunky PC software connected via USB. I've long thought that a lot of music tech gear was lagging on the software usability side and PG's logo is 'The Future Sounds Like This' so I decided to get my hands on the Spark 40 to see what all the hype was about. So now that the dust has settled and it's widely available in stores, does it deliver on that original promise and more importantly should you get one? It continues to be mega popular today with over 250K sales at the time of writing and PG claiming it to be the world's most popular practice amp. Though many buyers weren't happy with the wait, more orders kept coming in and PG eventually cleared the backlog later in the 2020 having sold well over 100K units. Well it turns out the pandemic did impact manufacturing which lead to significant delivery delays, up to 6 months for someone I know. By early 2020 they had won Music Radars 'Best of NAMM' award for guitar amps and were getting ready to ship nearly 25 thousand pre-orders. Furthermore they used a crowd funding style model, offering steep discounts as rewards to people willing to place pre-orders months in advance. At the time they had limited experience building hardware so it was a bold claim. At the time Positive Grid (PG) were mainly known for their software guitar modeling apps 'BIAS Effects' and 'BIAS Amps' and they sought to bring this experience to the world of musical equipment that was only slowly adapting to the modern era of ubiquitous smart phones, wireless everything and 'The Cloud'. The Positive Grid Spark 40 was announced in late 2019 in an ambitious campaign promising a truly smart amp for the home that would revolutionize practice for guitar and bass players at an agreeable price.
